Leading edge facilities & strategies
True vertical integration — from the forest to your bottling line — means qualitative oversight, start to finish.

Raw materials are harvested from carefully selected forests under exclusive long-term contract. Never do we purchase boiled planks or corks from other suppliers. After harvest, cork planks are kept at M. A. Silva 3 outdoors, stacked on concrete to season for six to nine months. Seasoned planks are then steamed under pressure with our high-tech boiling system. After punching, corks are disinfected by ozone with our Maszone® washing process.

The traceability and monitoring of product quality at each stage of production is vital to assure consistency and product quality. Our experts knw how to select the best bark for wine corks supported by a strict evaluation of punched corks with GC/MS anaylsis of 2,4,6-trichloroanisoles.
Our high-tech proprietary processes, plus vigilant testing in our California labs, inspires confidence in our corks.
